using saitek controls helicopter jumps off the ground with throttle closed

The liftoff to hover is not smooth. Throttle is closed lifting the collective the helicopter jumps off the ground. Basically uncontrollable.

Are you sure the Throttle is closed? On a helicopter the controls are the other way round to match real life (Pull back on the Saitek throttle to go up, push on the throttle to go down). This behaviour can be changed in the settings if it's not desirable.
