How to fix a bad email address in Q&A user profile?

I realized that I had mistyped my E-Mail address when registering. Trying to fix it, sends a confirmation link to the _mistyped_ address (which won't work, of course). How can I fix my E-Mail address in the profile?

In the right corner of the screen should be your username. Click on it, then on the user name in the Hello line of the drop down menu. Click the blue "edit my profile" button on the next screen to change the email field.
