Hello everyone,

I'm trying to setup XP-11 on my Dad's computer, which is a brand new HP laptop with Intel Iris Graphics 540. I've checked and have the latest drivers, and all available updates. As soon as I open the installer, where it asks for a product key, my screen goes black for a few seconds then comes back up with a "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" message and XP-11 is frozen. I've attached a log file below if that helps.

Also one difficulty is I'm over at his house only about once a week, so I need a few ideas for what to try there before I can report back.

Thanks for any insight!

Hi FLFLyerGuy,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

Does the laptop meet the system requirements?  Details can be found at http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/

If so, download the latest installer file which will check and update all files to the latest version to assist in running the software.  The Log file you supplied indicates the program has not been installed and cannot find the associated installer file at start up.  The latest X-Plane 11 installer file can be found by a search on the official  X-plane site.

As sideline issue if your product is a steam version then contact steam   It is a hybrid version of the official X-plane product.  They don' mix.

Hope this helps
