I've downloaded the x-plane demo so I can check how well it runs on my PC before buying the full thing but when I try to run the demo installer I get an error saying "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher".

I'm running Windows 10 and have just wiped / installed a fresh copy of Windows, I'm logged into an administrator account so it shouldn't be a permissions thing. I've tried turning off all the smartsafe stuff but that didn't help. I am using a 32 bit version of Windows but I believe that should be fine?

Is there anything else I can try?

Hi Steve,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

The bad news is x-plane 11 is 64 bit and not 32 bit.  You will need to upgrade to 64 bit or a new PC.

Have a look at this site at  https://www.windowscentral.com/how-upgrade-32-bit-64-bit-version-windows-10

Sigh, thanks for clarifying that, I could've sworn I read that it supported both version.  Guess I need to start saving for a better computer.
