I takeoff from KCHS to Fly to KMKS after taking off from Runway 33 and get to Alt. after about 5mins in to the flight my aircraft (172 ) crashes out of no ware.  I'm not sure if its my laptop of the program.  My laptop is bran new I bought just for this simulator I do understand my video card is not the top of the line.   I'm using this to help me with my flight training I don't nee the best graphite settings

Did you ever get a resolution for this? My Xp-11/Zibo 737 just started doing the same thing. After 5 or 10 minutes after takeoff, the plane lurches about 30-40 miles in a random direction. After a few more minutes, the plane will instantly crash into the ground from FL240 or whatever altitude I'm at. XPlane 11 does not crash, the 737/Zibo crashes.

No and I try to get a hold of tech support and I had no luck there either.  There is a lot of bugs in this program.  I have the whole flight setup yoke, throttles, peddles radio stack and switch panels. I can only get the 3 working the radio and switch panel not so much.  I tried to un-install xp and reinstall no luck either it freezes on disk 3 now lol I can win with this program

Let me know if you get a answer that can help

Thanks

Hi,

Since you are an engineer with Boeing, you may be able to troubleshoot this yourself.  After your XP11 crashes, go to your X-Plane 11 folder and look for the log.txt file. Scroll down to the bottom of the log.txt file and look if something like ˋThis application has crashed.....´  is there.  If nothing about a crash is written at the bottom of the log. txt file, then look in Windows Event Viewer. Sometimes the Event Viewer will tell you what went wrong.

BTW, look into the log.txt file immediately after the crash and do not start XP11 before you have read  that file because X-Plane writes a new log.txt file at every start of XP11.

Another thing you may want to consider is to delete the preferences folder.  It is located at C:/ X-Plane 11/Output/preferences.   Deleting the preferences folder will bring your X-Plane 11 back to its default state.  This means that all your joystick settings etc. will be gone and you may have to assign your settings anew.

Hope this helps,

Werner

Hi,

Sorry, but I completely misunderstood.

So if your airplane crashes, how does the crash occur?   Does the engingine fail?  Do the flight controls fail?  Do you have enough airspeed?  Ot too much?  Are you using the autopilot or do you fly manually?

Are failures enabled in general settings?  Do the flaps fail because of excessive airspeed? i.e. airspeed is outside of the white arc and flaps are not fully up?

It would help if you could provide detailed information on how the airplane behaved before and during the crash.

Are your assignments for your yoke, pedals and throttles correct and controls calibrated?  No double assignments?

Is your copy of XP11 updated to the latest release version? (not beta!)

Thanks,

Werner

No problem.   So After I take off and get to ALT 2500 level off and straight and level flight after 5mins it just crashes one min I'm in the air the next on the ground.  I believe one time it said I did not follow ATC rules but I was not sure.

However Here is the new computer Specs I just bought

Which version of XP11 are you using?  Please be sure not to use XP11.26 beta version.  It has some problems. Instead use XP11.25 r2 release version.  Do update your X-Plane 11 to version XP11.25.  Make sure that the box for beta versions is unchecked when you update.
