I've been trying to boot up XP in VR on my htc vive but whenever I enable VR mode in the settings I get the VR display mirrored on my monitor and it is responsive with the headset moving but inside the headset it just fades to black. The only thing I can see is my chaperone borders when I get close to an edge so I know the display is active.
I've already tried updating windows and updating and rolling back graphic drivers but nothing has helped.

RX 480 4gb and RX 470 4gb not currently in crossfire
MSI B250 Gaming Pro ATX Motherboard
