Goodday!

When launching X-Plane 11, i received the following message: 

Loading navigational data failed:

Absolutely no navdata installed.

Please note that X-Plane 11 is not compatible with navdata files made for X-Plane 10.

X-plane 11.32r2 is the first version of xplane i have ever installed, a week or two ago. 

As far as i remember, i have only added a Bombardier 300 plane, which worked fine till today. 

I checked out several suggested solutions, but non worked. 

Would you have a remediation?

Appreciate your help, love the program!

Hi Erik

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK, but just to let you know that X-Plane 11 ships with a global base layer of nav data that enables IFR navigation world-wide. The AIRAC data cycle represented by those files will remain the same, unless updated during a new X-Plane 11 release.

These files are:- earth_fix.dat, earth_awy.dat, earth_nav.dat, earth_astro.dat plus two folders Airspaces and CIFP, where the latter holds ICAO code information for each airport with instrument procedures. These files and folders are located in the X-Plane 11/Resources/default data/ folder.

Please therefore firstly look in your X-Plane 11 file structure to see if everything exists as it should? Please see photo below.

If not, then run the X-Plane Installer app, as this will scan your files/folders and replace any that are missing, corrupt or in need of update.

earth_fix.dat, earth_awy.dat, earth_nav.dat, earth_astro.dat plus two folders Airspaces and CIFP do exist in the location X-Plane 11/Resources/default data/ folder.

Also i did run the two update possibilities in the X-Plane menu (update program and update scenery). 

Unfortunately, still not loading. Would you have another clue?

OK, well the only other place AIRAC cycle data exists within X-Plane 11, is in the Custom Data folder as per the photo below.

This 'custom data' does not ship with X-Plane 11, it is download by the user from Navigraph or similar, just to keep the AIRAC cycle in X-Plane 11 up-to-date. This is not free, you have to pay an annual subscription to obtain the data involved.

Irrespective of this however, and ignoring the Bluebell XL folder in the photo, do you have the CIFP and GNS430 folders?

I forgot to say that the C:\X-Plane 11\Resources\default data\CIFP folder (X-Plane 11 default navdata) should have a list of files with names containing 3 or 4 alpha numeric characters (alpha being in upper case) i.e. EGLL.dat or 1R8.dat?

Does your folder have these files listed?

Also have you ever had X-Plane 10 on your PC?
