Hi,

I have xplane 11 for a year and two months ago xplane just crashed out and at the little window was written that xplane run out of memory. I have Intel 8700K, Nvidia GTX1070ti, 16 GB RAM.  I've uninsatled xplane, reseted all settings in Xplane folder and I don't know what do do next to make it working.

Thanks in advance!

Hi AlexelA

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK and I have a few questions:-

1. When you state that X-Plane 11 "crashed", did you mean that the X-Plane application shut down back to the desktop, or, did you mean that the entire PC crashed and shut down to re-boot?

2. On face value, your hardware configuration should be OK, but it may be worth carrying out a 'stress test' of your PC to make sure that everything is stable. You can run such a test at the following website:- https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Software

3. Could you please upload to this post, a copy of your X-Plane 11 Log.txt file which is in the C:\X-Plane 11 folder.

If you're not sure how to upload files to this Q&A post, then please click on the following link to view some instructional PowerPoint slides that I have prepared for this very purpose:- http://questions.x-plane.com/?qa=blob&qa_blobid=14222284191387982694

I suffered this problem recently and tracked it down to Live Traffic.
This addon was set to log advisory messages to the Xplane Log.txt file. The server providing details for all the live traffic was a low-end signal LAN and every ping created an entry in the Log.txt file... It didn't take long for this to fill my remaining free memory and crash XP11.
I simply told Live Traffic to only log "Faults", and I have had no further OOM problems.
I hope this helps
