Have followed the instructions to update to 10.45 but when clicking fly now it reverts back to window to update and when selecting not now it is back to using 10.42.  Am I doing something wrong.  10.42 is working all ok ?

Hi Billqc,

I want to double check that you don't have more than one copy of X-Plane installed do you? It's possible to get confused on which one is being updated if you have more than one.

I was not able to reproduce this when using the automatic updating through X-Plane & the installer it downloads.

Hi jrobert,

I checked and I have a 32 bit and 64 bit loaded?? the 32 bit downloaded the 10.45 update ok.  Any suggestion on which one I should delete?

Thanks for the quick response.

Wait so you are saying that you have a 32 and 64 bit version installed. Do you have a 64 or 32 bit of your OS (operating system like Windows for example). If you have a 64 bit based OS, delete the 32 bit and if not, do it the other way around.

Does this help?

Thanks I have 64 bit win 7 pro.  Will delete the 32 bit version and then update the 64 bit.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Bill,

When X-Plane is installed, it includes both a 64 bit & 32 bit app. If you delete one of them, any time you update it will come back. Any update should apply to both of them. As far as I know it is impossible to have the 32 bit app on 10.42 and the 64 bit one on 10.45 unless they are in different X-Plane install folders.
