once into x plane and have cockpit the view outside is completely black

views from all aspects are completely black, have checked all settings, it is the same on all aircraft choices, this has suddenly happened from my last time of use,

Typically the first things to try are:

1. remove all add ons (plugins, custom scenery, etc)
2. reset to default preferences by deleting, renaming or moving the preferences folder (found in the Output folder)
