I have the steam edition of X Plane 10 Global 64 bit. during a flight, in the special tab, i accidentally messed with the gravity settings. My game crashed instantly and after an uninstall, it still doesnt work! I really dont want to go back to fsx because x plane 10 gave me an experience like no other. Please answer asap because I bought the game for $60 and it meant so much to me. It was in the planet radius settings. I cant check because as soon as i launch it, it crashes.

Check out this FAQ that has info on backups and game caching, or the other support forums may have info.

For non-Steam installs of X-Plane, the usual process is to restore default preferences, but I'm not sure if that will work through Steam or not.

Thank you so much! I'll try it asap. I'll reply when it works! But how do you restore it to system preferences? I can only get past the select aircraft screen, then it freezes when loading "Finishing Asychrounomous Loading" so anything past that like settings won't work at all.

I tried it and it still didn't work, do you know any other way?

So for non-steam installs, you can manually edit preferences by going to the main X-Plane folder > Output folder > Preferences folder. TO restore all defaults, rename, move or delete the entire preferences folder. Or you can try to find which specific preference is causing problems and edit it in a text editor.

Again, I'm not sure what the file path for Steam installs are, or if this is even a good idea. You could ask on the Aerosoft support forum, or possibly in Steam community support.
