I tried to install and run the demo yesterday and even during the installation process the frame rates even in the settings menu were extremely low. I rationalized it was a bug in the demo installation so decided to purchase the product so as to have a complete installation and troubleshoot from there.  Every thing I tried would not work. I followed all the steps in the manual to fix it. I am uploading the log.txt file as requested.

Your CPU is 6 years old and your graphics card is 5 years old. Your computer is very, very far below the recommended specifications, which are at http://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/ -- in fact, that page says:

If your system is borderline, we encourage you to try the demo first. The full version of the simulator will perform exactly the same as the demo—neither better nor worse.

Hi,

Why is your FPS so poor?

Your rig is outdated, that's why. Look to get a new PC with the BEST specs so it doesn't become obsolete in 2 years.

XP is 64bit so it murders any PC so throw at it:)

BUILD YOUR OWN DESKTOP since its MUCH cheaper than a pre-built one.

Please look at the minimum requirements before buying any sort of game especially a simulator.

I have an I7 [email protected] ghz, a GTX 970 4 gb VRAM GPU, 16 gb RAM, and I get 25-30 FPS. (My CPU is old and overall my specs are on the borderline of what they recommend.

The specs of my PC are already outdated (it is struggling to run 11) since the 10 series GPU's, i7 7th generation and AMD Ryzen have arrived.

I plan on upgrading to a laptop with a 7700k @4.0 ghz, a GTX 1080, 32 2400mhz RAM, and two 512 gb SSD's to hold XP and other stuff. This will cost me $2500+ (wish I could build my own laptop)
