Can I switch x-plane 11 to a different computer

Question

I purchased x-plane 11 and installed it with DVD disk on my Mac laptop. I have purchased gaming desktop. Can I use the DVD discs to install it. So far it crashes doing that. I don't think I have a digital key.

Is the gaming desktop using IOS? the mac and windows versions are different.
