I am playing with the demo of XP 11, and I like the flying, but the loading takes forever. I get the impression that it is loading, all scenery, all planes, all airports and all NAVIADS. Is there a way to make it only load the things I want in my area?

I also noticed that, for most of the loading time, there is a message "not responding". Is this something about my system or the simulator?

I also notice on my first few circuits in the Cessna, that there were quite a few freezes, and when I set the Graphics back a few notches, it made no difference.

Hi Foggy,

I am not with Laminar Research; just a flight simmer.

Does your system meet the minimum requirements or better still the recommended requirements?  The details can be found at https://www.x-plane.com/kb/x-plane-11-system-requirements/

During the installation process you should be able to select the scenery and aircraft to load.

However, the demo mode will not give you all options.  You will be restricted to one airport and have a time limit to work with.  If you decide to purchase and apply the product key provided at the time of purchase the demo version will unlock into the full version.

Thanks Glenn,

My system is very close to the recommended requirements. I didn't see scenery loading options at installation, but I'll bear that in mind for when I re-install it, as currently, it is much worse than FSX.
