I'm new to X--plane and after I calibrated my joystick, I navigated around X-plane to get familiar  with it. I had to keep recalibrating my joystick, and each time I did, I had to quit X-plane, then come back in. Is there a way to go to settings without having to quit X-plane?

Hi Pflynow

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK.

Basically, you should never have to quit XP11 to calibrate your flight controllers, it is all done in the joystick settings page within XP11 itself. Please see photo below.

If you have installed any third party drivers for your flight controllers and are trying to calibrate them outside of XP11, then please uninstall those drivers completely as they are not required.

If you have any other questions related to this issue, please let me know on this post?

Hi again

For some reason, I seem to have attracted a negative vote for what I though was a helpful answer to someone new to XP11.

Was my response so bad that it was worthy of a down vote?

Sorry if it was :-(

Hi,

To get into Settings, just move your mouse cursor to the upper right corner of your screen and look for a symbol with three sliders. That is your Settings icon. Click on it and you will be in Settings.

Hope this helps,
