My system is:

- i7 4790k 4.7ghz watercooled at 60° full load
- Geforce GTX 1080ti
- 16GB RAM

In VR I get 20 fps but I see my GPU and CPU are not under full load. Why are my frames low when apparently my CPU and GPU still have some mussle left?

Your RAM is fine, you don't need more and RAM won't give you a performance boost. Turn off threaded optimization in nvidia control panel settings.

Hi Servaas Dejaegher

I'm not with Laminar Research, just a fellow simmer in the UK, but generally speaking, your CPU & GPU specs (being the most important hardware considerations) look great and should be well capable of managing X-Plane 11 software. The RAM on the other hand is on the low side, 32GB > would be better.

I'm not running VR, but I have a similar spec to you with 64GB RAM & two monitors and I'm currently getting over 60 fps, but that's with X-Plane 11.25!

If you're running version 11.30, then other simmers have reported similar issues, so you may need to file a bug report to LR accordingly?
